Laura Robards (SAG-AFTRA) is a New York based actor, director and vocalist. She comes from a long line of performers most notably her paternal grandfather, two time Academy Award winner Jason Robards Jr. As a result, she took to the stage at an early age. In recent years, Laura had a supporting role in the 2024 film Christmas Eve in Miller’s Point which premiered last summer at the Cannes film festival and was chosen by New Yorker Critic Richard Brody as the second best film of 2024. She is a principal in the recently released Unholy Communion starring Vincent Kartheiser and Adam Bartley. She has originated several roles for Mcarthur Genius Ishamel Reed including The Slave Who Loved Caviar and The Conductor. Her directorial debut Pursuit & The Elusive, an experimental VR film, screened at festivals in six different countries and will be available to screen in the Metaverse in early 2026. She is a proud graduate of Smith College.

Pursuit & The Elusive 

Laura’s directorial debut Pursuit & The Elusive is an experimental, 360 film made in collaboration with musician and composer Lady Midnight and visual effects producer Second Sight Visuals (Brian Skalak). It is designed to be viewed using an oculus but can be viewed in 2D as well. It will be released for viewing in January of next year.
